Core-shell nanoparticles with magnetically switchable core and thermally / mechanically stable attachment of the shell to the core (preferably via covalent chemical bonds or salt bridges). While the shell exhibits a specific functionalization for the binding of desired substances from solutions / mixtures (see protective rights 2-), the anchor group serves to connect the core and the shell.
