Exterior joinery of a dwelling comprising: - a frame (2) consisting of a section having hollow interior chambers delimiting an interior opening, - at least one opening (3, 3a, 3b) integrated in said opening and delimited by a frame consisting of a profile having hollow interior chambers, - a handle (10) fixed on the frame of the opening (3, 3a, 3b) oriented towards the interior of the dwelling, said handle (10) being adapted to perform a rotary movement between a closing position of the opening (3, 3a, 3b) and an opening position of the opening (3, 3a, 3b). This joinery is characterized in that it comprises means for protecting said handle (10) consisting of at least one reinforcement located in the vicinity of the handle (10), and positioned in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation (X ) of the handle (10).
