An information determination device (DD) equips a vehicle (V1) comprising storage means (MS) storing first data representative of portions of traffic lanes suitable for the autonomous driving of vehicles, analysis means (MA ) responsible for analyzing its environment, and means of communication (MC) suitable for exchanging messages over the airwaves. This device (DD) is arranged to determine, as a function of at least environmental information, representative of the environment of the vehicle (V1) and determined by the analysis means (MA), if the portion on which it circulates is specific to autonomous driving, and, if not, and if this portion is represented by first data, to generate a message indicating that this portion is currently unsuitable for autonomous driving and to trigger the transmission of this message by the means of communication (TM).
