The invention relates to a device for measuring quickly and without risk of being mistaken in reading the measurement between a petanque ball and a jack. It consists of a housing (1), a digital screen (2) on the upper face, the imprint of the shape of the jack on the lower face (3) .A trigger detector (4) .L When the user exerts pressure on the jack, the detector (4) triggers the laser fx (6) which sends the measurement to the digital screen. The laser fx can be triggered manually by pressing the button (5) to start the measurement if the case is not positioned on the jack but in front of the ball. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to measure the distance between the petanque ball and the jack quickly and accurately.
