The present invention relates to a composite coating comprising a ceramic-type solid matrix obtained via a sol / gel process, in which is included a lubricating filler in the form of crystalline lamellar particles comprising a stack of 2 to 5 sheets of carbon or nitride of hexagonal boron. The coating of the invention is useful for improving the tribological behavior of substrates such as metal substrates vis-à-vis substrates of all kinds (metal, polymer, ceramic). The present invention also relates to the process for producing the corresponding coated substrates, but also to the precursor-charged sol of said coating and to its preparation process.
