The invention relates to a three-phase transformer (10) for a twelve-phase thyristor rectifier comprising: a main magnetic core (50) composed of three columns (51, 52, 53) on each of which are wound: • two primary windings (73) connected in parallel ; and • two secondary windings (71); A first self-contained core (60) having three columns, on each of the columns being wound one of said pairs of primary windings; • three auxiliary windings (72) wound between the primary and secondary windings around each column of the main magnetic core and the first selfic core; A second self-contained core (61) having three columns, each of the columns being disposed between a pair of auxiliary windings and a pair of primary windings; and three output connectors connected with the auxiliary windings and for connecting at least three capacitors with the auxiliary windings so as to form at least one harmonic and power factor correction filter.
