The invention relates to a method and a system for real-time monitoring of the states of connected objects using the SMS (Short Message Service) network. This process consists of:- an apparatus for collecting the states of at least one connected object which comprises either a wired sensor and either a wireless sensor such as an RFID sensor (Radio Frequency IDentification), or a Bluetooth sensor;- extract information from the received reports;- generate a message comprising at least one identification field and one data field.- transmit the message from the device to the SMS server using the SMS network;- transmit the message from the SMS server to a data server using the TCP / IP network (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol);- analyze and save the information in the data server;- publish information in real time in a dashboard or as a data service;- alert the user in real time according to at least one predefined management rule.
