The invention is directed to a composition comprising a quantum of genetically normal non-host myoblasts and host serum, wherein the composition is adapted to induce myoblast proliferation. The invention is also directed to a composition for use as a medicament and a composition for use in inhibiting growth of a cancer tumor in a host and/or preventing cancer cells from metastasis in a host.
