A hand held powder dispensing brush 100 comprises an elongate body 110 having, at one end thereof, a brush head 150 comprising a plurality of bristles 152 in a pre-defined arrangement: the elongate body comprises an internal cavity 131 defining a storage compartment adapted to hold a drying agent, such as talcum powder other particulate material, a means for releasing the drying agent from the storage compartment and for delivery to the bristles of the brush. The elongate body preferably consists of a rigid outer shell 120 and a deformable inner receptacle. Portions of the inner cavity 132 may be accessed through apertures 121 in the outer shell allowing a user to squeeze the receptacle thus releasing the drying agent. Alternatively, the entire body may be formed from an elastomeric material. A kit of parts including a deformable receptacle and a plurality of interchangeable brush heads is also disclosed.
