Scintillator products, apparatuses and methods for use in autoradiographic imaging

Scintillator products and devices are provided that are conformal to a surface of excised tissue, where a radiopharmaceutical has been administered to the patient or subject in advance of surgery. Conformable products include a membrane (200), scintillator tiles (410) with connecting threads (420), and frames (510, 520) with slideable rods (540). Products allowing the tissue sample shape to conform include a dome shaped cloche cover (310) with cavity and flat sheet (610) brought in to contact with and deforming the tissue sample. A light-tight enclosure 102 with imaging means 116, 120 is also described, used for autoradiography allowing determination whether sufficient tissue has been removed with a tumour.
