This gateway (10) is able to establish an interconnection between the first and second communication networks (11, 12) of an onboard computer installation on board an aircraft and to monitor at least one communication channel (C1) between an first transmitting equipment (13) on the first network and a second receiving equipment (14) on the second network. The gateway is characterized in that it is adapted to implement, at the current time, a security policy of said communication channel which depends on a current mode of operation (M) of the gateway, the operating mode current being a function of a current state (E) of the aircraft, the gateway comprising a configuration table (30), which indicates, for each current operating mode (M) possible, and for each communication channel to be monitored , a value of at least one configuration parameter defining the security policy.
