An energy-scavenging interface (24) connectable to a first and a second storage element (22b, 27) to receive an input signal (V IN ) from the first storage element and to supply an output signal (I OUT , V OUT ) to the second storage element. The energy-scavenging interface comprises a first pair of series-connected switches (30a, 30b) connected between the first storage element and a ground terminal and a second pair of series-connected switches connecting the first to the second storage element; and a control logic (60, 70) configured for: closing the first couple of switches for a first time interval (T DELAY ) charging the first storage element; acquiring a scaled copy (I p /K) of a peak value (I p ) of the electric current stored in the first storage element; closing the second couple of switches to supply the second storage element until the output signal is higher than the scaled copy of the peak value.
