A measuring system for a construction machine comprises at least one first distance sensor and an evaluation device (45). The first distance sensor is designed to determine a distance to a subsurface of the construction machine and to output a distance value or a measurement series with distance values depending on at least one distance sensor criterion as a function of the determined distance. The evaluation device comprises at least one interface, the interface serving to receive the distance value or the measurement series of the distance values and to receive distance information as a function of at least one distance criterion. The evaluation device is designed to combine the obtained distance value or the measurement series with distance values in a correlating manner with the distance information.
