The present invention relates to a planetary gearbox and the planet carrier thereof, wherein because of central coupling a first torque and a second torque resulting from torsion of the planet bearing elements on the planet carrier experience at least partial compensation of the torque components which cancel each other out because of favorable merging of the torques, before the torques are led out. It is thereby possible to use a more filigree, e.g. sheet-metal, planet carrier for planetary gearboxes having fairly large torques.
