The invention relates to a garment (1) for a controlled environment, comprising:- a torso portion (2) with a longitudinal axis (3) and a first (4) and second side (5), at a distance from and substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis, a lower (6) and an upper edge (7) substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, extending between the first and second side, which torso portion is provided with a first (8) and second arm aperture (9), arranged near the upper edge along the first and second side respectively, a first (10) and second leg aperture (11), extending between the longitudinal axis and the first and second side respectively and a head aperture (12), provided along the upper edge;- a first (13) and a second sleeve (16), both extending from a connected end, connected to the first and second arm aperture of the torso portion respectively, to a free end (21, 24);- a first (19) and a second leg part (22), both extending from a connected end, connected to the first and second leg apertures of the torso portion respectively, to a free end;- an access opening (30), for providing a wearer access to the interior of the garment; and- closing means, such as a zipper (33), for closing the access openingwherein the access opening extends from a free end of the first leg part, preferably along an edge in line with the first side towards the connected end of the first leg part, via the first side to the connected end of the first sleeve towards near a free end of the first sleeve, preferably along an edge proximate to the first leg part.
