METHOD AND SOFTWARE FOR LASER ENGRAVING A MOULD ELEMENT FOR A TYRE MOULD

The method for laser engraving a mould element for a tyre mould comprises the following steps: defining a texture negative to be engraved on at least a part of a moulding surface of the mould element that consists of a plurality of adjacent patterns, dividing said part of the moulding surface of the mould element into a plurality of adjacent elementary areas for the intervention of the laser beam, the external shape of each elementary area for the intervention of the laser beam being defined such that the outline of said area matches the outline of a pattern of the texture negative to be engraved or the outline constituted by the combination of several juxtaposed patterns of said texture negative to be engraved, and producing, by laser engraving, the pattern or patterns of the texture negative in each elementary area for the intervention of the laser beam.
