DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OXYGENATING AN AQUACULTURE POND

A device for oxygenating an aquaculture pond comprises a water recirculation conduit (2) and a hydrogen peroxide dosing unit (3) connected thereto. The recirculation conduit comprises a water intake (4) for withdrawing water from the pond (1), a recirculation pump (5) downstream of the water intake and a distribution conduit (6) having a multitude of liquid outlets (7), arranged downstream of the recirculation pump and submergible in the pond at a fixed height of from 5 to 50 cm above the bottom of the pond. The hydrogen peroxide dosing unit is connected to the recirculation conduit upstream of the distribution conduit. An aquaculture pond is oxygenated by recirculating pond water with the device, adding hydrogen peroxide from the hydrogen peroxide dosing unit.
