PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of informing a user of information which may cause a problem such as a deviation from a product standard or a problem in a production process. A two-dimensional information code reading device includes an imaging data acquisition unit, a decoding unit, a storage unit, a comparison processing unit, and an output unit. The imaging data acquisition unit acquires imaging data. The decoding unit decodes the information code from the imaged data. The storage unit stores reference data for comparison with peripheral data of the information code processed by the decoding unit. The comparison processing unit compares the peripheral data of the information code with the reference data stored in the storage unit.
