To provide an accretion removal device which can surely and uniformly clean an accretion such as sediment and soil cement attached to a hollow pile inner surface over the whole of the hollow pile inner surface, and can surely remove the cleaned accretion and muddy water while discharging them to the outside (ground), and an accretion removal method.SOLUTION: An accretion removal device includes: a cylindrical elevating body 1 which reciprocates in a hollow pile 5; an annular jet pipe 2 which is mounted on the elevating body 1 and has a plurality of jet nozzles 6 facing the inner surface of the hollow pile 5; a scraper 3 whose tip edge is pressed against an inner surface of the hollow pile 5 when the elevating body 1 is elevated; and a guide wheel 4 which maintains the elevating body 1 at a fixed interval with the inner surface of the hollow pile 5. The accretion removal device jets a cleaning fluid supplied to the jet pipe 2 to the inner surface of the hollow pile 5 from the jet nozzle 6 when the elevating body 1 is elevated in the hollow pile 5, and wipes off an accretion on the inner surface of the hollow pile 5 with the scraper 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
