To estimate noise power: with a few items that need to be adjusted; and without depending on a sudden change or a change in an input voice.SOLUTION: A noise estimation device estimates a noise component included in an input signal to obtain estimated noise power. The noise estimation device comprises: means for calculating an input power and a steady probability of the input power from past estimated noise power; means for updating the content of an input buffer and the content of a probability buffer, on the basis of the input power and the steady probability calculated by the means for calculating steady probability; and means for calculating estimated noise power, by calculating a weight average of the input power held in the input buffer by regarding the steady probability held in the probability buffer as a weight coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
