PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely verify the irradiation of a particle beam by a selected irradiation method. SOLUTION: A particle beam therapy system 100 includes a charged particle beam generator 200 for accelerating a particle beam, an irradiation device 500 for irradiating a target with a particle beam accelerated by the charged particle beam generator 200, and a charged particle beam generator. It has a device 200 and a control device 600 for controlling the irradiation device 500, and the control device 600 has a charged particle beam generator 200 and an irradiation device 500 so as to switch at least two different irradiation methods to irradiate a target with a particle beam. After switching the irradiation method, the particle beam is experimentally irradiated by the charged particle beam generator 200 and the irradiation device 500 by the switched irradiation method to verify the particle beam.
