To develop and provide a technology capable of discriminating a larva ecdysis individual of an arguloida insect easily and surely even in the case of a beginner not having an experience or a knowledge related to sericulture.SOLUTION: In an ecdysis individual discrimination method of a larva of an arguloida insect, excitation light having a specific wavelength is irradiated to the larva of the arguloida insect, and an individual emitting pale fluorescence from a body surface by irradiation of the excitation light is discriminated as an ecdysis individual.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
