To control the directivity of an ultrasonic sensor within a desired range that is needed while improving the sensitivity of receiving a reflected ultrasonic wave.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic sensor system 10 comprises: an ultrasonic sensor 12 of transmission-reception integrated type capable of transmitting an ultrasonic wave with which a detection object is to be irradiated and receiving the ultrasonic wave reflected by the detection object irradiated with the transmitted ultrasonic wave; and a reflector 14 for reflecting the ultrasonic wave transmitted by the ultrasonic sensor 12 and irradiating the detection object with it. The reflector 14 comprises a sub-reflector 14B for reflecting the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the ultrasonic sensor 12 first and a main reflector 14A for reflecting the ultrasonic wave reflected by the sub-reflector 14B toward the detection object, the distance between the sub-reflector 14B and the main reflector 14A being adjusted so that the directivity of the ultrasonic sensor 12 is set to a desired directivity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
