To provide an easy method for predicting characteristics after wet classification of a valuable component-containing dust slurry.SOLUTION: A method for predicting wet classification characteristics of a valuable component-containing dust slurry includes: fractionating a sample dust slurry collected from a valuable component-containing dust slurry into a plurality of fractions by each constant particle diameter; analyzing a particle size distribution, a solid content ratio and a valuable component concentration for each fraction thus obtained; calculating a relation between a particle diameter and an abundance ratio of valuable components and a relation between the particle diameter and an abundance ratio of solid content in a dust whole area, and with the relations as accumulation distribution displays, calculating a relation between a particle diameter and an abundance ratio accumulation of valuable component, and a relation between the particle diameter and an abundance ratio accumulation of solid content; from the relations and a classification ability of a classifier, calculating an abundance ratio of valuable components and an abundance ratio of solid content at a slurry side at which valuable components are concentrated; and making prediction characteristics after wet classification from a valuable component-removing ratio from the valuable component-containing dust slurry, and a solid content abundance ratio at a high valuable component-containing side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
