To provide a power generation reserved capacity measurement system and power generation reserved capacity measurement method capable of measuring a power generation reserved capacity irrespective of a voltage state of an electric power system without the necessity of using an actinometer or thermometer.SOLUTION: A power generation reserved capacity measurement system includes a solar light generation unit 11 having a solar light panel, and an electric power control unit 16 that is connected to an electric power system 12 and controls electric power to be generated by the solar light generation unit 11. The electric power control unit 16 includes an output voltage control block that varies the output voltage of the solar light panel 15, and a power generation reserved capacity calculation block that calculates a power generation reserved capacity of the solar light generation unit 11 on the basis of the output voltage of the solar light panel 15. The power generation reserved capacity calculation block compares first maximum electric power, which is based on the first current-voltage characteristics of the solar light panel 15 acquired in advance, with second maximum electric power, which is based on the second current-voltage characteristics of the solar light panel 15 estimated when the voltage of the solar light panel 15 is varied by the output voltage control block, and calculates a power generation reserved capacity of the solar light panel 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
