To provide an imaging device assembly capable of securely obtaining a reference light pattern with which a subject is irradiated in the form of image data by an imaging device without being affected by ambient light.SOLUTION: An imaging device assembly comprises a light source 210 which emits a polarized reference light pattern, one imaging device 220, and a control device 230 which controls the light source 210 and imaging device 220. The imaging device 220 comprises a first polarizer 221 which has an axis of polarization in a direction parallel with a polarization direction of the reference light pattern, and a second polarizer 222 which has an axis of polarization in a direction orthogonal to the polarization direction of the reference light pattern and is arrayed alternately with the first polarizer 221. The imaging device 220 outputs a first image signal and a second image signal, obtained based upon polarized light passed through the first polarizer 221 and second polarizer 222, to the control device 230, which generates a reference light pattern signal from a difference between the first image signal and second image signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
