PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration diagnosis method, apparatus and system for a metal sample in a single crystal state, which can identify deterioration of a crystal structure in a specific direction without any special work and can be easily used by a general user. A method for diagnosing deterioration of a metal sample S0 composed of a single crystal state, wherein the metal sample S0 is irradiated with white X-rays and a diffraction spot SP1 generated by the irradiation is detected by a detector 140. A step of calculating a coefficient related to the dispersion of the intensity distribution in the specific direction in the detected diffraction spot SP1 and a step of specifying the deterioration state of the metal sample S0 from the calculated coefficient are included.
