PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine or the like capable of preventing or treating visceral discomfort. The present invention provides a preventive or therapeutic agent for visceral discomfort, a pharmaceutical composition, a medical device, a food or a beverage containing silicon fine particles. Oral administration of fine silicon particles or indwelling on the skin or mucous membranes makes it possible to prevent or treat visceral discomfort, and its prophylactic and/or therapeutic effects are excellent. Visceral discomfort includes visceral pain, vomiting, nausea, wheezing, diarrhea, and the like.
