To estimate a distribution of a raw material in a height direction of a sintering raw material layer accompanied by change of particle size of the raw material.SOLUTION: A height direction raw material distribution estimation device 40 has a target raw material particle size distribution information acquisition part 51 for acquiring target raw material particle size distribution information exhibiting a distribution of particle size of a target raw material, a target raw material retaining information acquisition part 52 for acquiring target raw material retaining information exhibiting the distribution of particle size of the target raw material in pseudo particles granulated by a plurality of raw materials including the target raw material, a pseudo particle distribution information acquisition part 53 for acquiring pseudo particle distribution information exhibiting a distribution of particle size of the pseudo particle in the height direction of a sintering raw material layer in which the pseudo particles are laminated, and a height direction raw material distribution estimation part 54 for estimating a distribution of the target raw material in the sintering raw material layer in the height direction based on the target raw material particle size distribution information, the target raw material retaining information and the pseudo particle distribution information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
