To provide a door weather strip which is excellent in door closing performance and noise barrier performance and whose appearance is not impaired.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A door weather strip 10 comprises a mounting base part 20 and a hollow seal part 30. The mounting base part 20 has a hole 22 penetrating through the mounting base part 20, and the hole 22 is mounted with a valve 40 penetrating through the mounting base part 20. In manufacturing a vehicle, air in the hollow seal part 30 is discharged, and thereby the hollow seal part is compressed and shaped by closing a door while keeping the valve 40 in an open state (a first step). When the door opens, the shaping of the hollow seal part 30 is held by bringing the valve 40 into a closed state (a second step). The valve 40 is brought into the open state again at timing when the hollow seal part 30 starts to be brought into contact between the door and a vehicle body opening part during closing motion of the door or at timing when the door is brought into the closed state (a third step).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
