To provide a geothermal exchanger with high heat efficiency, capable of reducing the loss of heat due to a non-geothermal zone upon carrying hot water heated at a deep underground site above the ground.SOLUTION: A medium transfer pipe installation method is used in a geothermal power generator that generates electricity by evaporating a medium heated with heat in a thermal zone, and for installing a medium transfer pipe 1110 for transferring the medium in a dry crushing zone F or a crushing zone F not filled with liquid, which is present in at least a geothermal zone. The medium transfer pipe installation method comprises: flowing liquid such as water or muddy water into the dry crushing zone F or the crushing zone F not filled with liquid; forming a water storage area containing rocks in the crushing zone, around an installation area of the medium transfer pipe 1110; and installing the medium transfer pipe 1110 in the water storage area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 52
