To provide a triaxial compression test device for an unsaturated soil and a method for testing a triaxial compression of an unsaturated soil, the device and the method which remove the air in a pipe to be connected to a gap air pressure meter by degassed water and do not require correction by the air in the pipe.SOLUTION: The triaxial compression test device for an unsaturated soil includes: a pressure conversion unit 2 in the upper surface of a sample S, the conversion unit converting an air pressure to a water pressure; a first tube 33 having one end, which is connected to the pressure conversion unit 2, another end, where a first valve 32 is located; and a middle part, where a pressure meter 31 is located; and a second tube 35 having an end connected to the pressure conversion unit 2, the second tube having a second valve 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
