To provide an electrothermal alloy and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing an electrothermal alloy, first of all, a starting material is provided, and an oxidation process is executed for the starting material so that an oxidation material composition can be obtained. Subsequently, a tube closing process is executed by adding the oxidation material composition and a carburizing agent to a quartz tube. The electrothermal alloy having a proper thermoelectric figure of merit is manufactured by executing a carburizing process to the closed quartz tube.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
