The present disclosure relates generally to methods of controlling the movement of molecules such as DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), RNA (ribonucleic acid) and proteins as well as other biomolecules that pass through nanopores. A method of selectively fixing, pulling, and releasing DNA tagged with magnetic beads using a structure made of a soft magnetic material will be specifically described.
