To provide a blind hole machining method drastically reducing the number of man-hour related to machining by simplification of a working process.SOLUTION: A blind hole machining method comprises: a preparation process for preparing a machining target W on the surface WS of which a blind hole 11 is formed; an annular groove forming process for forming an annular groove 15 having a diameter larger than that of an inner peripheral wall surface 12 on the inner peripheral wall surface 12 on the side of a bottom part 13 of the blind hole 11; an insertion process for inserting a cutting blade edge 5 into the annular groove 15 by putting a large-diameter hole forming cutting tool 1 having the cutting blade edge 5 on the outer peripheral side of a tip end part 3 into the blind hole 11; and a large-diameter hole forming process for pulling the large-diameter hole forming cutting tool 1 toward the surface WS from the annular groove 15 of the blind hole 11 while rotating it, cutting the inner peripheral wall surface 12 of the blind hole 11, and forming a large-diameter hole 17 having a diameter larger than that of the blind hole 11.
