To provide a surgical device and a method of controlling the surgical device.SOLUTION: The method of controlling the surgical device comprises steps of: generating a first treatment signal state in response to a feedback signal based on a baseline signal and a first target state identifying signal; generating a second treatment signal state in response to a feedback signal based on the baseline signal in the case of absence of the first target state identifying signal; and providing the first target state identifying signal on the basis of an apparatus state signal, selectively electrically connecting in a first connected state to a sensor circuit 1310 arranged with respect to a console 10, and providing the sensor circuit with a feedback signal based on the baseline signal, the first target state identifying signal, and the baseline signal in the case of absence of the first target state identifying signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
