PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with a sensation of beat of a musical piece without using a visual signal or listening to the music. SOLUTION: A method for providing tactile feedback about a musical piece is to display a drawing of the musical piece on a display of an electronic device having a touch sensing surface, and to detect an input at a position corresponding to the drawing of the musical piece. And to provide tactile feedback corresponding to at least a subset of the beats of a piece of music. The provision of tactile feedback provides tactile feedback while detecting the input at the position corresponding to the drawing of the musical piece, and responds to the fact that the input is not detected at the position corresponding to the drawing of the musical piece.
