PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile sensor for a bed that allows, in detecting a load applied to a required part of a bed, detection of the load in a simple configuration and that can be easily installed in a bed, and a bed accommodating the sensor.SOLUTION: A sensor for a bed detects, in a bed having a support member and a supported member to be supported by the support member, a load applied from the supported member to the support member. The sensor for a bed has a pin 10 inserted into both a first hole provided in the supported member and a second hole provided in the support member. The supported member and the support member are coupled by the pin 10. A strain gauge 20 is then attached to a small diameter portion in an intermediate part 13 of the pin 10. Deformation of the pin 10 is detected by the strain gauge 20 so as to detect a load applied to the pin 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
