PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated thermal decomposition / dehydrogenation process for olefin production. The embodiments disclosed herein relate to systems and processes for producing olefins and / or diene. The system and process may include the step of pyrolyzing the C1-C4 hydrocarbon-containing feed to produce a degraded hydrocarbon effluent containing a mixture of olefins and paraffins.
