PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spontaneous ignition preventive coal delivery method for a coal storage tank that facilitates fluidization of coal that is present so as to come into contact with a side wall of a coal storage tank to prevent spontaneous ignition of the coal, and to provide a device.SOLUTION: A spontaneous ignition preventive coal delivery method for a coal storage tank includes: setting an amount of coal delivery from a delivery part 1B positioned on both sides in a parallel installation direction of a plurality of delivery parts 1B larger than an amount of coal delivery from a delivery part 1B positioned on a center side in the parallel installation direction; and giving precedence to the coal coming into contact with a side wall 1b of a coal storage tank 1 so as to be delivered more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
