To provide a gadolinium acid oxysulfide sintered body having short afterglow of 20 ms and excellent optical output, a scintillator containing the gadolinium acid oxysulfide sintered body, a scintillator array, a radiation detector, and a radiographic inspection device.SOLUTION: There is provided a gadolinium acid oxysulfide sintered body having a ratio of thermoluminescence intensity of 239K±1K (TL) to thermoluminescence intensity of 210K±1K (TL), (TL/TL) of 0.50 to 1.60 when the thermoluminescence intensity is measured at temperature rise rate of 20 K/min.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
