The present invention provides an adhesive composition having a tensile shear strength (adhesive strength) of 1 MPa or more with respect to various adherends based on a naturally-derived raw material with little adverse effect on the human body. An adhesive composition comprising at least a first agent and a second agent, wherein the first agent is a chain in which hydrogen atoms in at least some hydroxyl groups of tannic acid have at least one hydroxyl group. The tannic acid derivative substituted with a hydrocarbon group is contained, and the second agent contains a hydrocarbon having two or more cyanate groups or a derivative of the hydrocarbon.
