PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual chlorine detector and a residual chlorine detection method, capable of detecting free residual chlorine with higher accuracy than before.;SOLUTION: In a residual chlorine detector 10 and a residual chlorine detection method, a pair of electrodes 16A, 16B is immersed into tap water after elimination process of free residual chlorine to detect a first voltage. A voltage component consisting of inclusion other than free residual chlorine is subtracted from a second voltage detected by immersion of the pair of electrodes 16A, 16B into untreated tap water based on the first voltage to obtain a difference voltage.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
