PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-consumable nozzle type electro-slag welding method by which stable weldability in a weld joint direction and a high toughness value of a weld metal can be obtained in even high heat input electro-slag welding, and a method for manufacturing an electro-slag weld joint.SOLUTION: A non-consumable nozzle type electro-slag welding method uses a weld wire and weld flux, the weld wire is a metal-based flux-cored wire having a composition which contains C, Si, Mn, Mo, Al, Ti, and B of specified quantities, one or two of Ni, Cu, Cr, V, and Nb of specified quantities, and the remainder comprising Fe and inevitable impurities, the weld flux has a composition which contains SiO, CaO, CaF, MgO, AlO, MnO, and TiOof specified quantities, and a slag after welding has a composition which contains SiO, CaO, CaF, MgO, AlO, MnO, and TiOof specified quantities.SELECTED DRAWING: None
