PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of discriminating a region drawn with an ink containing fluorescent dye by one line sensor without using a light source that emits invisible light.;SOLUTION: Irradiation light of blue, green, and red colors is repeatedly radiated one by one by a light source 21a to an original sheet 15. Reflected light from the original sheet 15 passes through a color correction filter 25 and reaches a first line sensor 12b3 having a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements. The color correction filter 25 is composed of a first filter 25B, a second filter 25G, and a third filter 25R, whose combinations of transmittances of the three primary colors are different. If the reflected light is not attenuated for each of the plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, estimated intensity estimated to be detected by the photoelectric conversion element is calculated. If a difference between the estimated intensity of the photoelectric conversion elements receiving the reflected light passing through two filters is greater than or equal to a threshold, it is determined that the corresponding pixel belongs to a fluorescent region.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
