PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road traffic investigation system in which image information on pedestrians and vehicles photographed by a camera is transmitted to a management device on a wireless communication network side utilizing circuits of a base station, and the management device analyzes the number and attributes of pedestrians and the types and movement directions of vehicles and digitizes the same into data.SOLUTION: Image information photographed by a camera 5 is transmitted to a management device 2 on a wireless communication network 3 side utilizing the optical circuit 9 of a base station 1, and image information photographed by a camera 7 is transmitted to the management device 2 on the wireless communication network 3 side utilizing the optical circuit 10 of a base station 6, and the management device 2 digitizes into data the number and attributes of pedestrians 14-18 and the number and types and movement directions of vehicles for 24 hours in 365 days, whereby it is possible to make the most of these digitized data for digital signage advertisement display, city planning such as bus transportation plan and road expansion, a shop opening plan, criminal behavior precognition, etc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
