The present invention addresses the problem of achieving a method for a immunological analysis of BG in a biological sample, which is easy to operate and has the same level of sensitivity as that of a limulus reagent. The problem can be solved by the combination of a pretreatment of the biological sample with an alkali solution and the use of an anti-BG monoclonal antibody capable of reacting specifically with BG.
