PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair deformation treatment agent and a hair deformation treatment method capable of sustaining hair deformation, suppressing residual odor, and improving the feel of hair while suppressing a decrease in hair strength. SOLUTION: A first agent containing a reducing agent, an auxiliary agent for treating the hair before and after treating the hair with the first agent, and the first agent and the auxiliary agent respectively. A hair deforming treatment agent comprising a second agent containing an oxidizing agent for treating hair, wherein the auxiliary agent is a guanidine salt, arginine, lysine, or an alkaline agent in combination thereof, and a total auxiliary agent.
