PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement method of an existing cylindrical wall made of reinforced concrete, capable of effectively enhancing earthquake resistance.SOLUTION: In a reinforcement method of an existing cylindrical wall 50 made of reinforced concrete having an upward opening inside space, the reinforcement method of the existing cylindrical wall made of the reinforced concrete, is provided by including removing an existing reinforcement 56 by deeply scooping existing concrete 54 of an outside surface 52 of the existing cylindrical wall 50 more than the existing reinforcement 56, arranging a new outside reinforcement 4 more in a reinforcement quantity and/or higher in strength than the existing reinforcement 56 in a part of scooping the existing concrete 54 and forming a cylindrical reinforcement structure 1 by placing new outside concrete 5 on the new outside reinforcement 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
