The present invention relates to novel pestiviruses useful in the fields of veterinary virology and vaccines. In particular, the invention relates to isolated polynucleotides and pestiviruses derived from pestiviruses, vaccines and medical uses thereof, chimeric viruses containing said polynucleotides, and expression vectors for the heterologous expression of polypeptides.
